Sarah is seeking re-election as the Liberal Candidate for Mount Scio. Sarah was first elected in May 2019 and is also Minister of Digital Government and Service NL, Minister responsible for the Office of the Chief Information Officer and Minister of Francophone Affairs.
In October 2020, Sarah and her husband welcomed a boy to the world, Alexander.
Prior to becoming elected, Sarah was a digital expert in financial services and was a member of the following boards:

I am really pleased to be able to say a few words in support of Sarah Stoodley. Sarah and I are elected volunteers on the Board of Regents of Memorial University, elected by the graduates, by MUN alumni. We serve on committees together as well as on the Board. Smart and sharp. I enjoy serving with her. I encouraged her to run in this election. Sarah will be a great member of the House of Assembly, a member I am proud to campaign for. I will be going door to door with her.
